Lindsay Lohan will be hosting Saturday Night Live on March 3rd. The show confirmed the surprising news in a tweet that read, "That's right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then! #SNL #March3rd."

This will be Lohan's first time hosting the show since 2006. Although she is not promoting a project as most hosts do, Lohan is reportedly hoping to remind the public that she is an actress.

TMZ.com reported that Lohan always felt SNL creator Lorne Michaels was a "fatherly" figure, and personally approached him about wanting to the show. Sources say they had multiple conversations about the possibility and recently confirmed the date.

After the news broke Lohan tweeted, "SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lohan recently appeared in court again, where she received another good probation report. If she keeps doing well, her community service could be over by next month.
