Emma Watson said that after she cut off her long hair, people assumed she was a lesbian. The actress chopped her locks after the final Harry Potter movie wrapped.

She told The Independent that after she debuted new 'do, "I had journalists asking me if this meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now."

Watson explained, "That haircut did make me realize how subjective everyone's opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I'd lost my (mind)."

As for what she took away from the experience? She mused, "All I can do is follow my instincts, because I'll never please everyone."
